Our Mission
The Purpose of Grafton County Senior Citizens Council is to develop, strengthen and provide programs and services which support the health, dignity and independence of older adults and adults with disabilities living in our communities.
Activities, Programs and Clinics
The senior centers sponsor a range of activities and services for participants, and often their programs are held just before or after lunch so that those who come to the center for lunch can easily participate in other activities as well.
From art classes to blood pressure clinics, the senior centers' schedules vary and include recreational, educational and health-related programs. Check your closest center's newsletter or your local newspaper for the most up-to-date information.
Regular events often include bingo, crafts activities, health clinics, exercise classes, musical programs and shopping expeditions. Special events highlight holidays and birthday celebrations. Also, special speakers, films and presentations are scheduled at centers throughout each month.
Even when special events are not scheduled, many of the senior centers are open from early in the morning until late in the afternoon and have collections of books and games for anyone to enjoy. Some have computers available for the public to use.
